Green Mountain Mission

We are the Green Mountain F.O.O.L.S.

 

We believe in the Fire Service – We believe that this is the greatest job in the world whether you are a volunteer or career, male or female, probie or Chief.

 

We believe in Training – we believe that training is something that should be shared, not kept secret.  It is a gift that we all give to each other daily.  It is something that should be done daily, even if that means reading a blog or talking with a friend.  Train daily.  Train hard.  FIGHT LIKE YOU TRAIN!

 

We believe in Tradition – Remember Fallen Brothers.  We believe in those that have come before us and those that have died fighting for what they believed in.  We believe that we have an obligation to preserve the tradition of the fire service, in their memory, while still finding ways to better ourselves and our trade.

 

But above all else, we believe in the brotherhood.  We believe in the bond that ties us all together, male or female; the “brotherhood” is not gender specific.  There is something special about the men and women that sign up to do this job.  That they would risk their lives to save a total stranger, and rise to the occasion whenever a brother is in need no matter how small the need.  That they would travel halfway across the country to honor a fallen brother. 

 

The Green Mountain F.O.O.L.S. believe in these core values and hereby commit to doing anything and everything in our power honor this mission statement.
